stranded...

so there couldn't be a wider contrast between the islands off the coast and the town on the mainland, semporna. its really grotty and dirty, and there's absolutely nothing to do here!

instead of taking the night bus last night we thought we'd get cleaned up and head off this morning. turns out the only bus out was at 7 this morning, so now we have to get the night bus anyway- doh! means we arrive to our next place at 3am. oh no.

we supposed to be off to climb mt kinabalu- half the height of everest. eeek! not sure how that'll go, but i'll letyou know. sounds a bit too much like hard work at the moment!
