manila!

so after getting out of angeles we decided the best thing to do was head back to manila for a few days....and it was great, so much fun. there's lots of great bars and street cafes where you can eat cheap and yummy bbq food and watch the world go by. was really surprised by how much was going on there. lots of people out enjoying themselves. there's a lot of poverty there tho, lots of street kids and begging. the most we've seen i think...

the city is much nicer than i expected too. there are some quite down and out areas, but there's a really nice old quarter and a couple of pretty parks, plus MASSIVE malls! very much appreciated with how hot it is outside!
